General Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Payment must be received prior to pick-up.

2. It is the customer’s responsibility to assess the Natural Stone tiles before it is laid to ensure that the product is fit for their specified purpose.

3. Raj Natural Stone must be informed of any damage, shortage or breakage within 7 days of delivery. Complaints of damage, shortage or breakage will not be accepted after product has been laid.

4. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the Natural Stone tile or related product is fit for purpose you would like to use it for, as per your order (with respect to finish, colour, etc.).

5. The customer is expected to give proper regard to the nature of Natural Stone tile. As it is a product of nature, no two pieces of natural stone are identical, and a reasonable degree of natural variation is to be expected from tile to tile.

6. Stones left in natural weather elements may become damaged. It is not recommended to leave natural stone subject to natural elements for long periods of time. It is best to store them under cover.

7. Natural Stone left in natural elements may change in colour. Raj Natural Stone is not responsible for handling of sandstone tiles once in the customer’s care.

8. Product must be laid in accordance with applicable industry standards. It is the installers (fixtures) duty to lay the material under the control of the customer or the customer’s agent, with all responsibility of installation falling on the customer. Note that the blending of tiles or pavers from different pallets or crates is standard practice in managing colour variation.

9. No claim or return will be accepted once Natural Stone has been laid.

10. Claims or returns must be made within 7 days of pickup or delivery.

11. Unless otherwise agreed, any returns must be accompanied by explicit consent of Raj Natural Stone. Returns will also incur a 20% handling charge. Transport for return of goods is to be organised and paid for by the customer.

12. Returns will not be accepted where goods are damaged or broken as a result of the customer’s handling, after Natural Stone is picked up.
